Calling all kids! Jack London Square invites you to come build, unbuild, and rebuild with The LEGO Group for a day of play and art that will feature a LEGO® installation by artist Masako Miki. Miki was asked to imagine the city of Oakland in playful ways—from fantastical buildings and schools to dream public housing and transport. After revealing Miki’s installation, there will be an open invitation to local kids to use LEGO® bricks to play, add to and transform the installation all while exciting them to reimagine their favorite places in their community to be more playful and fun.

Facilitation provided by Wild Child, an organization focused on experience design for young children, and the Junior Center of Art and Science , a 65 year-old Oakland nonprofit that promotes creative exploration through the arts and sciences in the public school system. Music provided by DJ Odiaka.
